## Lesson: How a Play Gets Made

Every show starts with a script built from scenes you know, where each one has a want and a block, and most scripts run in three acts: set-up, clash, then fix. The script holds the story but not every choice.

The director shapes the whole show. Casting picks who plays whom, and each actor brings a new voice and moves. Designers plan the set, costumes, light and sound. Rehearsal builds the rest.

**Example.** One room can feel gloomy with dim lamps or joyful with bright cloth. Each look is a message the team chose for you.

Rehearsal is where the script comes alive. Actors try lines many ways and build where to stand, when to pause, and how fast to move.
