# Shared Research Projects

## Ready when they can

- Contribute ideas and information to a class writing project
- Draw or write facts learned from personal experience about a topic
- Help gather information from books or adults for a group research task

## Lesson: Finding Facts Together

Your class can pick one topic to study. Maybe frogs, maybe the moon. Everyone looks for facts. Then everyone writes what they learned.

**Example.** Mia's class studies bears. She looks in a book. She also asks her dad. She writes: bears sleep all winter.

**Tip.** You can learn facts from books. You can ask people too. You can also remember things you have seen. Try more than one place.
