## Lesson: Knights and Their Armour

A knight was a trained warrior. Knights served a lord and fought for him. Boys began training when they were very young.

**Example.** Mia watches a knight ride by. He wears metal armour and a helmet. He holds a shield and a sword. A long lance leans on his horse.

**Tip.** The code of chivalry gave rules for knights. Be brave. Be honest. Protect people who are weak.
