## Lesson: Robin Hood and King Arthur

Long ago, people told exciting stories about heroes. Two famous ones are Robin Hood and King Arthur. These are legends, not proven history.

**Example.** Robin Hood lived in Sherwood Forest, hiding from the sheriff. He took gold from rich people. He gave it to poor people. His friends were called the Merry Men.

**Example.** King Arthur was a legendary king in Camelot. He pulled a magic sword called Excalibur from a stone. His knights sat together at the Round Table.

*(drawing: King Arthur's big moment: pull the sword from the stone and become king.)*

**Tip.** No one has proven Robin Hood or King Arthur were real people. Their stories still teach us about fairness and bravery.

**Recap.** Robin Hood and King Arthur are legends: exciting old stories, not proven true history.
