## Lesson: Learning from your mistakes

Everyone gets things wrong sometimes. That is not the end of learning, it is often the start of it. When you get something wrong, stop for a moment before moving on. Ask yourself: what did I misunderstand, or what did I miss?

**Example.** Mia gets a math problem wrong. Instead of just writing down the correct answer, she looks back at her own steps. She finds the exact spot where she forgot to carry a number. Now she knows exactly what to watch for next time.

**Tip.** Don't just hide a mistake or erase it fast. Read it like a clue. It is telling you the one thing to fix.
