# Buyers & Sellers

When someone makes or has something, they can sell it; when someone wants something, they can buy it; introduction to the concept of exchange and transactions

## Ready when they can

- Explain what a buyer does and what a seller does
- Act out a simple buying and selling transaction with a partner
- Describe a time they or a family member bought something from a person (market stall, car boot sale, bake sale)

## Lesson: Buyers and Sellers

A seller has something to sell. A buyer wants that thing. The buyer pays money. The seller gives the thing.

**Example.** Mia sells apples at her stall. Tom picks one apple. Tom gives Mia money. Mia gives Tom the apple. Tom is the buyer. Mia is the seller.

**Tip.** Think of a time your family bought something from a person. Maybe at a market stall or a bake sale.
