## Ready when they can

- Describe how they would divide tasks in a team business project (one person makes, one sells, one designs)
- Explain why using people's different strengths makes a business better
- Give an example of a problem that could happen if a team doesn't work well together

## Lesson: Teamwork in Business

Most businesses need more than one person to run well. One person cannot make things, sell them, and design ads all by themselves. When people work as a team, everyone can focus on what they do best.

**Example.** Zara, Theo, and Mia want to run a bracelet stall at the school fair. Zara is careful with her hands, so she makes the bracelets. Theo loves drawing, so he makes a bright sign. Mia is chatty and friendly, so she talks to customers and sells the bracelets. Each friend does a different job, and the stall runs smoothly.

*(drawing: Three friends, three different jobs. Each job matches what that friend does best.)*

**Tip.** When your team plans a project, think about what each person is good at. A team works best when every job matches someone's strength.

Sometimes teamwork goes wrong. If two friends both want to sell and no one makes the bracelets, the stall has nothing to sell. Talking together and picking one job each helps a team avoid this problem.

**Recap.** A good team splits jobs by strength and talks together so every part of the business gets done.
