Times tables help you remember answers like that without counting each time. For the 2s, 5s, and 10s, you just remember the answer. *(drawing: This array has 2 rows of 5. That is 2 × 5 = 10.)* **Example.** Sam wants to know 5 × 3. He hops along the 5 times table: 5, 10, 15. Three hops of 5 lands on 15, so 5 × 3 = 15. *(drawing: The 10 times table counts by 10: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50.)* Division facts hide inside times tables.
