Subject: Personal & Social Development · Area: Responsible Decision-Making · Ages 5 to 7

## Ready when they can

- Describe what happened as a consequence of a specific action they took
- Predict what might happen if they choose a particular action before doing it
- Explain that actions can have good or bad consequences for themselves and others

## Lesson: Actions have consequences

Every action you take leads to something else happening. That next thing is called a consequence. It can be good or bad.

*(drawing: First Leo drops the cup. Then the cup breaks.)*

**Example.** Mia grabs her brother's blocks without asking. The blocks fall and break. Her brother feels sad because of what Mia did.

**Tip.** Before you take a toy or run fast, stop and think. Ask yourself what might happen next.

**Recap.** Every action leads to a consequence, so think before you act.
