# Our Solar System

Know that there are other planets besides Earth and that our group of planets orbiting the Sun is called the solar system — and that space is the vast area beyond Earth's sky

## Lesson: Our Solar System

Earth is a planet. It is not the only one. Many other planets exist too. All of them circle around the Sun.

**Example.** Leo asks his dad a question. 'What do we call the Sun and its planets?' Dad says, 'That group is called the solar system.'

**Tip.** Space is very big. It is beyond Earth's sky. That is where planets and stars are.
