You can compare how heavy things are. Pick up one thing. Pick up another. Feel which one is heavier.
Try it together
Mia holds a bag of apples in one hand. She holds a feather in the other hand. The bag feels heavy. The feather feels light. The apples are heavier than the feather.

A balance can help too. The heavier thing makes its side go down.
Heavy things are harder to lift than light things.
