Telling Time: Hours and Half Hours
Tell the time to the hour and half past the hour, and draw clock hands to show these times

The lesson
A clock has two hands. The short hand shows the hour. The long hand shows the minutes.
Try it together
Half past means the long hand points to 6. Mia sees the short hand between 7 and 8. It is half past 7.
Good to know
To draw an o'clock time, point the long hand at 12. To draw a half past time, point the long hand at 6. Put the short hand near the hour number.
O'clock: long hand on 12. Half past: long hand on 6.
