The lesson
Capacity means how much a cup can hold. A cup can be full or empty. It can also be somewhere in between. You can compare two cups to see which holds more.
Try it together
Mia pours a little milk in her cup. Leo pours a lot of milk in his cup. Leo's cup has more milk than Mia's cup.

Good to know
To compare fairly, use cups that are the same size. Then check which one has more water inside.
