The lesson
Let us count in Persian from one to ten.
yek (یک) is one, do (دو) is two, se (سه) is three, châhâr (چهار) is four, and panj (پنج) is five.
shesh (شش) is six, haft (هفت) is seven, hasht (هشت) is eight, noh (نه) is nine, and dah (ده) is ten.

Count your ten fingers out loud: yek, do, se, châhâr, panj, shesh, haft, hasht, noh, dah.
Good to know
panj is five, like one whole hand.
In Persian we count yek, do, se up to dah, which is ten.
