The lesson

Persian has warm words for food and drink.

nân (نان) is bread and berenj (برنج) is rice. We eat them at dinner.

sib (سیب) is an apple, a sweet fruit.

âb (آب) is water and shir (شیر) is milk. We drink them.

Try it together

At your next meal, name the nân or the sib on your plate.

Nân is bread, sib is apple, âb is water, and shir is milk.
