The lesson
Plants grow almost everywhere you look. You might see plants in a garden or park. Some plants are small flowers. Some plants are big trees.
Look closely to learn a plant's name. Check its leaves, its flowers, and its shape. Sunflowers, daisies, and roses grow in gardens. Dandelions and clover often grow in the wild.
Zara sees a big tree in the park. In fall its leaves turn orange. By winter, all the leaves have fallen. This tree is deciduous.
Evergreen trees like pine and holly stay green all year. Look for green needles or leaves even in snow!
You can name garden plants, and tell deciduous trees from evergreen ones.
