Minibeasts do not live just anywhere. Each one picks a home that feels right. Some like it wet and dark. Some like it dry and sunny.
Lift up a log in the garden. Underneath, it feels damp and dark. That is where woodlice and worms like to hide.
Leaves get warm sun all day. Ladybirds like to sit on sunny leaves. Down in the soil, it stays dark and cool. Worms like that too.
A pond is full of water. Pond skaters and water beetles live right on the water. They would dry out under a log.
Think about wet or dry, dark or light. That tells you which minibeast you might find there.
