The lesson
Minibeasts are small creatures you find outside. Ladybirds, ants, bees and butterflies are minibeasts. Spiders, snails, worms and woodlice are minibeasts too. So are caterpillars and beetles.
Mia finds a woodlouse under a log. It rolls into a tiny ball. Mia does not feel scared. She looks closely and feels curious.
Every minibeast is interesting, even ones that look strange. Look closely instead of turning away. Worms, woodlice and spiders deserve a curious look, not just butterflies.
