Every ocean animal needs three things to stay alive. It needs food to eat. It needs shelter, a safe place to hide. It needs water that feels right for its body.
A clownfish needs a sea anemone. The anemone is its shelter and keeps it safe. The clownfish eats small bits of food that float by.
A bird needs things too, just like the clownfish. A bird needs a tree for its nest. A tree keeps the bird's eggs safe. A bird eats seeds and bugs for food.
Different parts of the ocean help different animals. Warm shallow water suits some fish. Cold deep water suits others. Each animal finds the spot that is right for it.
