The lesson
In a group chat, everyone gets a turn to talk. You listen when it is not your turn. You speak when it is your turn. Stay on the same topic as your friends.
Zoe says, 'I like dogs.' Sam says, 'I agree, dogs are fun.' Sam stayed on topic and added his own idea.
When a friend talks, really listen to them. Then say something that builds on their idea. Try starting with 'I agree because...' or 'That reminds me of...'
Listen well, stay on topic, and build on what others say.
