The lesson
When you work in a group, everyone has a job. You share your own ideas. You listen closely to what other people say. And you finish the part of the work that is yours.
Mia, Jay, and Tess are making a poster about the solar system together. Mia thinks of the title. Jay draws the planets. Tess writes facts about each one. Because everyone does a piece, the poster gets finished.
When a groupmate shares an idea, listen all the way to the end. Then build on it, like saying, 'yes, and we could also add stars around the planets.'
Every job matters. If you finish your part late, the rest of the group has to wait for you before the work can be done.
