The lesson
When you get to school, you say bonjour. It means hello. With a friend you can say salut, which means hi.
When you go home, you say au revoir. It means goodbye. Your teacher might say bonne journée, which means have a good day.
When someone asks comment ça va, they want to know how you feel. You can answer ça va bien, which means I am well.
bonjour sounds like bon-ZHOOR and au revoir sounds like oh-ruh-VWAHR.
Say bonjour to someone at home in the morning. When you leave, wave and say au revoir.
We say bonjour for hello, au revoir for goodbye, and ça va bien when we feel good.
