Animals Everywhere
Know that animals live all over the world — on land, in water, and in the air — and that every continent, even icy Antarctica, is home to animals, each suited to the conditions where they live
What a learner can do afterwards
- Names at least 3 animals from different environments (e.g., forest, ocean, desert)
- States that animals live on land, in water, and some can fly
- Recognises that animals live on every continent
The lesson
Animals live all over the world. Some live on land. Some live in water. Some can fly in the air.
Mia sees a camel in the hot desert. She sees a parrot flying in the rainforest. She sees a shark swimming in the ocean. Each animal fits its home.
Every continent has animals too. Even icy Antarctica has animals. Penguins live there in the cold snow.
Look at an animal's body. It shows you where it lives. Wings help flying, fins help swimming.
Animals live on land, water, air, and every continent.
