The lesson
A good story has a beginning, a middle, and an ending. First, something starts. Then, something happens next. Last, the story ends and someone feels something.
Mia went outside to play. First, she found a red leaf. Then, she found a yellow leaf. Last, she smiled and felt happy.
Say your story out loud before you write it. Use first, then, and last to keep events in order. Don't forget to share how you felt at the end.
